As it was wet outside, we were unable to build an obstacle course, so the children made marble mazes and domino runs in the TV area instead. Children of all ages participated throughout the morning. As they finished their marble runs, the children were proud to show off their creations and test how well the marble went through the maze.
Changing the obstacle course to be an indoor experience presented as a challenge initially, however the marble maze and domino runs effectively engaged the children and challenged their creativity and team work. This activity helped the children develop their fine motor skills and sense of resilience by problem solving when they faced challenges.
