18/5 Monday Morning Mad Magpie

This morning, the children gathered together to listen to a story read by Nicky. The story was called Mad Magpie. It is the Dreamtime story of a magpie called Guluu, who was very angry that he was being picked on by a group of butcher birds. The story describes Guluu's situation and details the ways he overcame his anger and learned how to be calm when he is frustrated. After the story, we asked some questions about the story, and the children explained how they could link the story to their real life experiences.
