We held an informal meeting outside at the ramp today, with children giving suggestions of plants and edibles to put in the OSHC gardens. We also measured and recorded the dimensions of each of the gardens.
The children who participated were very engaged in today's session, and loved helping to measure the dimensions using the tape measure. They all wanted a turn, and worked well together at turn-taking and using team work to take the measurements. They all had suggestions about what to plant in the gardens. The tape measure was a bit temperamental, so we had to switch to a smaller one towards the end - which became more difficult as it tested some of the children's patience.
