Beach Excursion

6th April 2023

Today we travelled to Bulcock beach. The children planned and risk assessed this excursion with the support of the educators. It is valuable for children to be involved in this process to encourage them to develop the skills needed to understand their own abilities, assess hazards and risk, and to discuss fairness. Whilst at the beach today we played in the sand and dug some amazing holes. We also had a refreshing swim and a delicious lunch. We are looking forward to planning our next excursion and the possibility of returning to the beach again.
