On Friday afternoon the educators set a challenge to the children to try and create some sort of structure that we could put around our eggs to protect them and keep them from breaking when they are dropped from a height. First we had a discussion as a group about resources they could use to build and then the children were provided with an array of materials and left to construct their designed protective structure for their egg. The children were given assorted craft materials like straws, paper bags and various gardening pots to assist them with creative ideas.
