Nutrition Ninjas Term 4 Week 5

This week, our Nutrition Ninjas prepared a deliciously creamy Chicken and Mushroom Stroganoff served with Pasta

This dish took just minutes to prepare, all we had to do was slice up the mushrooms and the chicken and put everything in the slow cooker! If you enjoyed this weeks meal, the recipe is included for you below

Slow Cooker Chicken and Mushroom Stroganoff

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 5 hours


4 boneless skinless chicken breast, cubed

8 ounce slices mushrooms

1 8 ounce cream cheese, softened

1 tin cream of chicken soup

1 packet dry onion soup mix

salt and pepper to taste fresh parsley, chopped to garnish

1 packet pasta (we used spirals)


1. Place chicken in the bottom of the lightly greased slow cooker. Add the mushrooms. In a medium sized bowl, add the cream cheese, cream of chicken soup and dry onion soup mix. Mix until incorporated and spread on top of chicken and mushrooms.

2. Cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 3-4 hours. Serve over pasta and top with fresh parsley and salt and pepper if desired.
